On The Table Forum is an Internet site, which explores and objectifies the nature of private relationships through sharing, editing and re-enacting private video mails with others outside of the relationship.  The following describes how it works:

A person (client) uploads excerpts of private video messages that were recorded and exchanged with someone close to them.  Pre-selected writers will view those uploaded video messages and transcribe them to text.  The text can be an exact transcription or a script based on the writer’s interpretation of what the video messages meant.  Once the writer uploads the text to the site, an actor can reenact the text, record the enactment and uploads his/her version to the site.  Actors can be anyone who wishes to enact including the original recorder of the video message.

The Internet site’s main purpose is to create an open/public forum where private information is shared, edited and represented in a way that would give a new perspective on the current state of one’s relationship.
